Airport Manager (LCI)

Compensation: $110,000 to $125,000 Annually

The Laconia Airport Authority is seeking an experienced aviation professional to serve as Airport Manager of Laconia Municipal Airport, a public-use general aviation airport serving New Hampshire’s Lakes Region.

Reporting to the Laconia Airport Authority, the Airport Manager is responsible for the overall administration, operation, maintenance, financial management, regulatory compliance, tenant relations, and continued development of the airport.

The position combines airport leadership and administration with the practical management of airport facilities, equipment, airfield maintenance, seasonal operations, and capital projects.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing the safe and efficient day-to-day operation of the airport
• Ensuring compliance with applicable FAA and state requirements, grant assurances, airport rules, and Authority policies
• Preparing and administering the operating budget and capital improvement program
• Coordinating airport planning, grant-funded projects, design, and construction with the airport’s engineering consultant
• Managing airport leases, tenant and fixed-base operator relationships, consultants, contractors, and vendors
• Overseeing airfield inspections, snow removal, grounds maintenance, buildings, equipment, pavement, and lighting systems
• Coordinating and supporting the inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of airport and obstruction-lighting systems
• Preparing reports and recommendations for the Airport Authority and attending municipal meetings as necessary
• Responding to airport emergencies and operational needs outside normal business hours when required

Applicants must have at least two years of progressively responsible experience as an Airport Manager, Assistant Airport Manager, Airport Operations Manager or Supervisor, or in a comparable airport leadership position.

Familiarity with FAA and state airport grant programs and airport construction projects coordinated through an engineering consultant is required.

Experience managing or supporting snow removal, airport equipment, vehicle and equipment maintenance, building maintenance, electrical systems, airfield lighting, or obstruction lighting is preferred.

The anticipated hiring range is $110,000 to $125,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.
